In 1988, company founder Hugo Bosio began with the production of small laboratory and smelter furnaces for heat treatment. Around 80 km to the north-east of the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, in the town of Store, he founded Bosio d.o.o. two years later.
Soon, Bosio achieves a 90% market share in countries of former Yugoslavia. In 2003, Bosio got certified according to the international quality standard ISO 9001.
From 2005 onwards, Bosio increased its international alignment considerably and expanded on to the Russian market as well as to the surrounding CIS countries of the former Soviet Union. In 2007, Bosio established a subsidiary company in Moscow - Prompech, Ltd.
Three years after that, Bosio expanded to the markets of the Middle East and Asia. In India, the growth-oriented company scored a strategically important order to produce a 20-meter vertical furnace.
In 2012, Bosio becomes part of the international Aichelin Group. In 2014, Bosio is able to sustainably increase its production capacities in Celje, Slovenia. The headquarters of the company have moved to Celje ever since.
Today, Bosio has over 1.500 successful reference projects in over 25 countries behind them.
